A horseshoe hanging over a doorway or on a door prevents evil from crossing the threshold. Roma women often wear small gold or silver horseshoe necklaces for the same reason. If a horseshoe is found with nails still in it, each nail predicts a year of good luck. They can also be thrown over the left shoulder to ward off bad luck (just make sure you’re not in a crowded place or near a window) 🖤
