Crossroads magic is common in conjure, rootwork, hoodoo and vodou. Our own packets of Crossroads Dirt draw on the gifts of the Spirits of the crossroads for power, decision-making and opportunity. This dirt is hand collected from the bridleways and byways of rural Wales, and England, from several different locations under guidance from Papa Legba and Baron Samedi.
In various traditions, crossroads dirt is associated with liminal spaces and is believed to possess certain properties. It is often collected from locations where two environments meet, representing a place of transition and potential. This liminality is believed to make crossroads a place where boundaries are thinner, and supernatural forces or spiritual energies may be more accessible.
